Just hanging out and waiting for the Oscars...Bill is still doing good and going to have some chicken wings tonight. The Frolings stopped by for some snacks and a visit, which was nice. We could tell that Bill enjoyed talking construction. Also, we got the 2nd surgery date which will be on March 24th. The doc said it is a really simple procedure. They just go up through the nose to remove the rest of the tumor. It supposed to only be a two hour surgery, so that is a little bit better than 13 i guess...we are all just looking forward to the summer time when we can see this again....

Wild Bill had a really good day today! He was left alone at home for the first time today for an hour or so...don't think he snuck any wine...he did his pt exercises and is also working his optic nerve periodically to try and get that right eye open! He is more conversational and all together with it! He finished the night of with a jamba of course :)

Since it was so nice and hot today, Wild Bill was craving a nice cold jamba juice smoothie all day and he finally got one for dessert, and he said, "it's not that I wanted it for the nutrition, I wanted it for the brain freeze." ....very funny Bill :)

When I first walked in the living room and saw my Dad napping with his jeans halfway to his ankles, my first reaction was to call the Folsom police department and report a date rape...but it just turned out that he hadn't figured out the whole belt thing just yet.

Day 11 - Battle Won!

So I decided to make a quick blog of the last two weeks events to keep y'all updated on Wild Bill and to try and help my mom out with phone calls and emails. I can't believe it's already been two weeks since the surgery. Wild Bill is up and about walking on his own and eating...a lot. I told him pretty soon he's going to be applying for the Biggest Loser show. The steroids he has to take give him a pretty big appetite. He will be taking those for the next week or so, so he'll be back to the three course meals soon. The physical therapist came and checked up on him today and scheduled an occupational therapist to come and help him out starting Monday. It's been a tough time but we are know getting through this quite quickly and Wild Bill has been super strong in the recovery stage and is counting down to days to drinking wine! Thanks to everyone who has been sending us gifts, calls, emails, and love. We really needed it and appreciated it! I'll be keeping you updated.
